San Francisco Opera and Lumahai Productions announce the release of Eun Sun Kim: A Journey Into Lohengrin, an hour-long film about music director Eun Sun Kim and the process of putting on an operatic production.

Interviews with the cast, orchestra musicians, and music and production staff reveal behind-the-scenes details about the enormous process of staging Wagner’s 1850 opera. Kim shares anecdotes from her career and training background that prepared her to lead such a monumental work while audiences experience her collaborations with singers, instrumentalists, and the production team.

The film is available now for free streaming with optional English and Korean subtitles and will be broadcast on KQED 9 on Friday, November 1, at 8:00pm.
